For sign-up, you will need to fill out two forms (click HERE to download them!), and bring cash or check payable to Oak Ridge Golf Course. No credit or debit cards allowed for payment.
Due to the nature of our program, we are unable to do any sign-up over the phone or over the website. Sign-up must be in person. Please call if you are interested in signing up, but cannot make the April 28th sign-up date. We can explain your options for sign-up.
What is the Oak Ridge Junior Program?
The Oak Ridge Junior Program is a good way to learn the game of golf. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals of the golf swing throughout 6 lessons, as well as rules and etiquette as they play a few holes after each lesson. The instructors are Kirk and Andrea Wieland, both golf professionals at Oak Ridge Golf Course in Milton, and current coaches of the Milton High School boys and girls golf teams.
Who can be in the Program?
Boys and girls ages 6-18 may be a participant, and all ability levels are welcome. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend each session to walk along with their children when they golf on the course.
When does it take place?
Participants will choose between Tuesday sessions OR Thursday sessions. For 2013, these session dates will begin June 11 or June 13. See session options available for 2013 at the bottom of this page.
Where does it take place?
The lessons and golf will take place at the Bonny Meade Links
driving range (across the street from Oak Ridge). The year-end tournament is held at Oak Ridge.
How much does it cost?
Prices for the program, which includes 6 lessons, golf following
each lesson, and a year-end tournament, range from $75 - $95, depending on the level the individual signs up for (3-holers = $75 each, 6-holers = $85, or 9-holers = $95).
How do I enter?
Sign up for 2013 will begin on Sunday, April 28 @ 12:00pm, and will end on June 1, or when all sessions are filled. Sign up will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are unable to attend the sign-up day, you may have another adult sign up your child for you. Payment will be required at time of sign-up.

Junior Program Sessions offered for 2013:
3-Holers: (Beginners—Typically ages 10 & under): Tuesday 8:15am, Tuesday 11:15am, Tuesday 12:00pm, Tuesday 12:45pm, Thursday 11:15am, Thursday 12:00pm
6-Holers: (Intermediate—Typically ages 9 – 12): Tuesday 9:45am, Tuesday 10:30am, Tuesday 11:15am,
Thursday 9:45am, Thursday 10:30am, Thursday 11:15am
9-Holers: (Advanced—Typically ages 12 & older): Tuesday 9:00am, Tuesday 9:45am,
Thursday 8:15am, Thursday 9:00am, Thursday 9:45am
**Please note that some sessions overlap—for example, Tuesday at 9:45 will consist of 6-holers & 9-holers.
